Musicians have a real knack for finding each other. I once made music for five hours in Cartagena, Colombia. Considering that I didn't speak Spanish, and they didn't understand my English, we had no problem postponing dinner in lieu of this communion. Music was all that mattered.

With much sadness, we learned that
composer and pianist Robert Avalon who introduced the concept of "home concerts"
passed away suddenly on Friday 30th April 2004 in Houston.
