The Diary

FULL MOON IN HOUSTONI thought I'd be in Germany the next full moon. But here I am, still in Houston. Tonight I let it steer me to a private concert in River Oaks. Full moons bring such nostalgia. It is time to leave. I had already postponed my departure once. I have no excuse to delay it - except for the perfect weather that arrived last week and the new friends I've made in the last four weeks. This morning, I went to Eatzi's to get breakfast. It was a gourmet heaven, even beating Harrod's in London. I devoured the tastiest fresh croissant outside - in the sun. It was the start of a beautiful day. The lesson I learned today was that you only discover the best last of all. The talented musicians who expressed themselves - on two steinways, on violin, and in voice. The gourmet grocery store. The perfect weather - with clear blue skies - bluer than this web page. The moon which will become perfect tomorrow. Sigh! |
