Medley on Bach's Prelude in C
Johann Sebastian Bach was a genius. His Prelude in C is the first of twenty-four wonderful pieces from his famous Well-Tempered Clavier. One immediately hears Gounod's Ave Maria floating on top. However, that's not all one hears.
I begin with St Francis of Assisi. See if you can recognise the melodies of love.
This is a midi recording of harpsichord and recorder. I have played parts of this medley on the organ with a violinist at a Catholic wedding.
