Music to "The Pianist"

The advertisement on Classic FM radio for Roman Polanski's new movie "The Pianist" is haunting. I flipped through all my Chopin nocturnes and couldn't match the piano solo in the radio ad.

I searched on Google and finally found a site that gives a clue. Music from the movies lists several pieces by Chopin. I was right. I can't wait to see the movie in London and play the pieces for others to hear.

I missed seeing "The piano teacher" but saw "The piano" twice. How many more movies will there be about pianos? Surely "The piano shop on the left bank" should be made into a movie!

There have already been many movies about composers and their instruments. I compiled a Bon Journal called Piano Movies. But I still need to link it from my free sheet music page, where most of my new visitors enter this site.
