Devastated

At the chest and allergy clinic, I got tested for allergic reactions. I found out that I'm allergic to my long haired ginger tom cat.

What do you do when you find out you're allergic to the thing you love? Do couples become allergic to each other? Do employees become allergic to their employers?

The doctor told me that we are more likely to develop an allergy to something we get exposed to. It's not like an immunity - it's just the opposite. So familiarity breeds contempt? Is that it?

The best cure for allergies is avoidance. Next is taking antihistamines.

I can't avoid my cat. I don't want to get rid of it.

Shall I shave his hair?
