analyticalQ book review by Anne KuMany Lives Many Mastersby Brian L. Weiss, M.D.Copyright © 1988, paperback 220 pages 1 August 2000In writing a book about reincarnation, Dr Brian Weiss risks his professional reputation as the Chairman of the Department of Psychiatry at the Mount Sinai Medical Center in Miami. In fact, it is precisely due to his untainted Ivy League education at Columbia and Yale that brings credibility to past life regression therapy. After trying all conventional means to cure a troubled young woman of her nightmares, anxiety, and depression, Dr Weiss turned to hypnosis to take her back to childhood. Deeper and deeper he went. While she was being cured, he entered a new realm of knowledge.Hard to put down. My neighbour from Texas had given me this book to read. She said that I must read it. Afterwards, I must read his next book - Only Love is Real. Some passages:"...wisdom is achieved very slowly. This is because intellectual knowledge, easily acquired, must be transformed into emotional or subconscious knowledge. Once transformed, the imprint is permanent.""Our body is just a vehicle for us while we are here. It's our soul and our spirit that last forever.""...Life is endless, so we never die, we were never really born. We just pass through different phases.... Time is not as we see time, but rather lessons that are learned."
